Wow, It has been a long time since I have written. I wonder if anyone actually checks my blog anymore?? Well if so, here I am. My life is basically the same. Right now I have probably the worst cold I have ever had. I am usually not one who gets a cough. I have been coughing so much that I think I have had an abdominal workout. I have been on several trips since the last time I wrote. I went to St. Lucia which was by far one of the most beautiful islands I have been to. I went to New Hampshire to visit the family, took my little brother to Disney and that is pretty much it for traveling.

I have purchased a lot... Bought a Vespa which is something I have had my eye on for many years. It is a lot of fun and also makes parking a lot easier.

I am not going to go too crazy with this entry. I was just laying around, sick of watching TV so I decided to read my own blog!! Well hopefully I will make this a habit.

Here are some pictures from my time away from blogging:

My brother and his friend

Elijah doing what he does best. He would much rather sniff a dogs ass that out weighs him by over 100 pounds!

Yesterday Elijah had a date with Coco the mutt. My sister and I had a girls day with Coco's mommy Amy. We picked them up and went to Merrick Park to have lunch. Our friend Bruce joined us just because he is really like one of the girls!!! The dogs got along, they basically ignored one another. Elijah is a strange dog. I have seen many people who look like their dogs. Elijah and I do not look alike but I would have to say our personalities are similar. Elijah is very funny, he does his own thing, and very selective whose ass he sniffs.

Wendy and I had Sangria which was really good. Amy had a glass of Chardonnay. When our Sangria arrived Amy really liked the idea of the fruit so she asked the server if she could please have fruit for her wine!! It was very funny.

I think I hear cheering!!! Yes, I am going to attempt to continue blogging. I do apologize to those people who read my blog. I wish I had a good story to tell why I stopped blogging but I really don't. Anyway, I will start fresh with this morning.

I woke up for the second morning to pitch darkness. No I am not blind or have some g-d awful eye infection. I got new blinds in my house and in my bedroom I had blackout blinds installed in addition to the decorative blinds. I can not believe I lived the way I did for five years. My bedroom never got dark, even if I closed my eyes I could still see light. Isn't that crazy? So, I have been sleeping a little later in the morning.

As most of you might remember my morning routine on the weekend goes something like this. I wake up around 6:30 (too early, I know) and walk Elijah (my little boy) and then I go and get a coffee to wake my tired ass up. Well this morning I was TIRED. I went to Einstiens to get my coffee and guess what sleepyhead Ellyn does? I dropped my car keys in the garbage!! I really didn't want to put my hands in the garbage and search for my keys but I had no choice. I suddenly felt like a hungry homeless person looking for some food. I was somewhat lucky because it was early in the morning which meant not a lot of trash!! I got my keys but when my arm came out of the garbage with my treasure I expected the few patrons in Einsteins to cheer or clap, no such luck. So here I am, finished my coffee, just blogged and now I am off to the gym. I already accomplished a lot.

It would be nice if blogspot sent out a notice to people to inform them when someone starts blogging again. They should also send out a small gift package to the blogger, just a thought.

So I went to Disney this past weekend. I left my house on Saturday morning at seven and arrived in Orlando at ten. Not too bad, right? I was meeting the family and staying until Tuesday. They were supposed to arrive at 10:30 a.m. but as they were taxing off they discovered a nail in one of the tires. They ended arriving in Orlando at 2:30 p.m.

Since I arrived so early I had to find something to do. I drove to Downtown Disney and walked around. Somehow I ended up at the entrance to Epcot. I did not have a ticket yet so I inquired about a four day park hopper which was almost two hundred dollars. I then asked about the Florida Resident Annual Pass which was almost $350.00. I did the math and decided it was best to go with the annual pass. So here I was walking around Epcot. I did all the countries and ended up in Mexico to have a Margarita which was one of the best Margaritas I have had. I walked so much that I was getting nervous about my femur!!

I met up with the disfunctional family at 4:00 p.m. at Bennihana. Sam (brother) loves the show they put on. I will post pictures from the weekend.

January 27th...

So I go to the Orthopedic Surgeon yesterday for a follow up visit for my stress fracture. They took an x-ray and to my surprise that sucker is pretty much healed. It was so nice to hear some good news. The bad news is he stressed NO JOGGING!! To hear that just makes me want to cry. No jogging for me is like taking drugs away from a drug user. The neurosurgeon and the ortho told me that swimming is the only exercise I should be doing. Do they realize that people with blonde hair who swim come out of the pool with green hair? I suppose I can get a swim cap. My plan is to start swimming this summer. I looked into a few polarbear swim clubs but I only found them in the northeastern states.

Tomorrow morning I leave for Orlando to meet the family in Disney. I wish I was being sent on a seven day vacation by Extreme Home MakeOver. That would be great if they came to do my crib but I don't think they do condo's. I love that show. Do they really rebuild a home in seven days? I find that hard to believe.

January 26th....

Can you believe it......Here I am again!! Well hello boys and girls, I hope you are happy to see me back. I must warn you, something might come up which may take me away from "blogging."

Last night I went on a date, went to Nemo for dinner. It was very nice, he enjoyed my company as I enjoyed his company. We will not mention any names but we can make a name for him. Let's call him Julio, I like that!! I was amazed how busy they were for a Wednesday night. We sat inside for some dumb reason. Our table was in the worst spot possible, next to the computer where the serves enter the orders and right next to the kitchen where they pick up the food. I think by the time we left we both smelled like a piece of red meat. The ventilation was not ventilating. I was actually a bit nervous to go home in fear that Elijah was going to try and eat my arms.

Today I have a follow up doctor's appointment for my stress fracture of my femur. I think and hope it is one hundred percent healed. Saturday I am going to meet the family in Disney so I hope I have a clean bill of health and can resume my daily exercise routine. You never know, he might tell me I need to rent a wheelchair while in Disney. Does that mean that I won't have to wait in line to go on rides? That might be nice but at the same time there is something about waiting in line at Disney that I enjoy. Is that crazy? I find it somewhat fascinating to watch all the people in line, what they are doing, how the parents manage their kids, etc. I don't get why Europeans do not wear deodorant and why so many little kids pick their nose and then eat it and the parents just ignore it.

January 25th.....

Surprise, surprise......

For all of you who have missed my daily blogging I will make an attempt to write. A lot has happened since the last time I have blogged, I got married so now you might be able to understand why I have not blogged. For those of you who know me should know that is not true. I am looking though, well not looking but in hope of meeting someone!!

Let me start off by wishing Dave a Happy Birthday!!

Hmmm..... I had a Birthday in December, not too exciting. I went to New Hampshire to visit with the family, very nice. I was also trying to heal a stress fracture to my femur so going to NH allowed me to sit and do nothing as what the doctor ordered. Oh yes, he also instructed me to use a cane. Isn't that funny? Well my cane is still at Jacob the Jeweler, he is blinging it out. I am better now but I guess I will be able to use it in thirty years or so.

What else... Okay, funny story.... I was walking on the board walk on Saturday, listening to my ipod. I was listening to a new playlist which I made earlier that morning called "beach." Anyways, the playlist stopped so I started a new playlist and the first song that came on was Lap dance by Pharrell Williams. Do you know who he is? If not you should check him out, very talented musician, producer, cute too. Okay, so I am listening to the song and who is walking towards me.... Pharrell Williams. I started to really laugh out loud. He was on the phone but i did not care so I stopped him and said, "you will not believe what song just came on." He told the person to hold on, and he put his ear to the headphones and laughed and said, "that is so cool." He shook my hand, tapped my ass and continued to walk. He didn't tap my ass.

I went to Lenny Kravitz and Aerosmith last week. Great concert, free tickets and amazing seats. i wanted to take my digital camera with me but I did not because I thought the purse searchers were going to take it. Can you believe that the purse searacher did not even look at me. I was so upset when I saw where our seats were. I ended up taking pictures with my cell which actual came out great.
