Went to lunch today with my sister to Wild Oats to get a salad and soup. Lunch was good, no complaints. We were driving back to work and I caught glimpse of a nose picker. I immediately got my phone and went to take a picture. Unfortunately I was not able to photograph the actual nose picking but I got a picture of the rolling action.

.

I also took a few pictures of the sky. As you can see from the pictures g-d was about to pee on us.

After work I went home to take care of business. Wait a minute, I mean Elijah not the bathroom. I took my little man outside, he did his business, both one and two, I was jealous of that. He also played with his friends, also jealous. Came in did my business and ventured out to Espanola Way for cocktails and food with Wendy. We ended up at our Sushi place. I had sake, she had wine. My camera does not fit in my purse which I was carrying so I had to use my cell phone camera.

I must mention the great parking spot we got. We found a meter right at the end of Espanola, perfect spot. Finding a parking spot in Miami Beach is almost impossible. When you find a spot it is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. We actually left my car there and walked home. I jammed the meter and left a note saying out of order.

Last night I went to blog something and my post never got published due to maintenance updates. I felt it is necessary to let the world know what I was going to post. Here goes......

Dinner last night, my menu:

Homemade Turkey Jerky... I know you are thinking I might live in a trailer park and one of my hobbies is hunting but you are wrong. Let me tell you about my recipe for turkey jerky. First I purchase my smoked turkey breast from the Epicure (gourmet market). I grizzle the turkey with hot sauce and then into the oven which is set on broil. I keep it in the oven until the turkey is almost burnt. It is really good.

Side dish....sauteed spaghetti squash. Process.. broil the squash for about 30 minutes, cut in half, take a fork to remove the squash. Saute the squash with tomato sauce, garlic and spinach. For those of you watching your carbs, spaghetti squash is an alternative to pasta.

Drink.... wanted wine, none left... second choice vodka..none left. Had to have crystal light.

Last night I found this woman's blog that is sooo funny. She is from Korea but has lived in the US, went to Berkeley. She is a chef and also travels a lot. Anyway, It was a lot of fun to read. It just so happens that was the last thing I did prior to falling asleep. Thanks to her I traveled to Japan last night. I had the funniest dreams due to her blog. Anyway, I will post the link, http://suddenlysusaninkorea.blogspot.com. So I am reading Susan's blog, laughing out loud until I read this. Lunch at les chiots near dosan park. fancy "european" food from a japanese chef who used to work in a 3-michelin star restaurant. "les chiots" means puppies, which is what we ate for lunch.
This is from Susan's blog... click on it to read the drinks.

I know Koreans eat dogs but must you write about it. I wonder what kind they eat. Is it a special breed made for eating? I have to engage in conversation with my father's wife, which would be my stepmother but due to many factors we call her Helen. Helen as you know is from Korea. The more I read Susan's blog the more interested I am in Korea. It actually sounds like a great country to visit. My questions to Helen would be: Have you ever had a dog for dinner? If so, what breed and how was he or she prepared? Can you choose the sex of your dog, does a male or female taste better? I would like to see a menu from a restaurant that serves dog. Do you pick from a list of names, Oscar grilled with bbq sauce served on a bed of kibble. Lucy broiled with a mango chutney served on a bed greens. I don't know.

I did some research and found this disturbing article.

If I told you In South Korea, it is common to eat dogs. This is not done in a humane manner, but by torturing them to death by hanging, strangulation, and beatings with such objects as bricks, large rocks, heavy rod-like objects and electrocution. They do this for long periods of time in order to terrorize and cause great suffering to the animal. They die a very slow and painful death. This brutal execution is done to dogs, because many South Koreans believe the flesh from a dog who is tortured to death has aphrodisiac qualities and tastes better. Some South Koreans torture cats by hitting them on the head repeatedly with hammers, by placing them in sacks which are then pounded on the ground, or by other methods that produce slow and painful death. Dead cats are cooked along with ginger, dates and chestnuts to make a brown paste or "Liquid Cat" which is foolishly thought by many South Koreans to be a remedy for rheumatism and joint problems,"
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
If we are to do anything, we MUST do it NOW.

I know everyone wants to know my computer situation, right. Anthony, you know I love you BUT.....My message today is as follows....Unable to display folder. Host not found. Perhaps it is me, Perhaps it is you, who knows.

Did not want to get out of bed this morning. My alarm went off and for the first time I ignored it but did not hit snooze. I tried to see how long I could listen to the BEEPING noise, not even a minute. I have never used the snooze option on an alarm clock. Usually I wake up a few minutes before the alarm goes off.

I have issues with noise, don't like it. At times I begin to go crazy when I hear too much noise. I guess you could say I am sensitive to noise. I do own ear plugs and would like to purchase a mask for my eyes. Perhaps I am just sensitive. Light bothers me as well. My bedroom is too light, hence my desire for an eye mask. I do not get it, when my eyes are closed I can see light, why? I am going to start a collection of eye masks. As you can see I plan to have a variety, day wear, evening wear and even a complete costume for that someone special.

Anyway, more to come later.

Arrived at work and guess what? The outlet that my computer is set up to is dead. Once again I can not work, is this a sign? I am really beginning to get annoyed by this.

Today's photos which were taken on my way to work

Once again, September 27, 2005

I swear that is the last time I am going to write September 27, 2005.

Does anyone know what a barking spider is? If you have any ideas please comment.

Is Herman just a name or does it mean something?

Would anyone sit on a public toilet seat that has those circulating plastic covers? If you would you are in need of a talk with me. REFRAIN FROM HAVING YOUR ASS TOUCH THAT... BAD IDEA.

How many people use a paper towel to open the door of a public restroom and then throw it on the floor, tell the truth?

Do you use your foot or hand to flush the toilet?

Have you ever taken any supplies from a hotel housekeeping cart?

Did you ever eat anything in the grocery store and leave the package somewhere?

Here is a good one. I live in a condo so newspapers are left outside your door. Have you ever taken someone's newspaper?

Do you keep baking soda in your refrigerator? Does that really eliminate odors?

Do you run the water while you are brushing your teeth? If so, stop.... that wastes a lot of water.

Do you turn your air up when you leave your house, if so to what?

If you have a dog does he or she eat shit? Do you know why they do that? Do you realize that if your dog does do that he or she will most likely lick your face after that... gross.

Do you leave music or the tv on for your dog when you leave the house? If your answer is no I hope you know you are not a good pet owner.

If you have a notebook computer have you ever taken it to the bathroom?

Don't you think all public restrooms should have either a chalkboard, notebook computers and I store that sells your own personal toilet seats? You then purchase a locker which stores your seat?

Instead of flavored coffee why not flavored coffee filters?

Have you ever peed in the shower? If so, why?

Have you ever peed in a swimming pool or the ocean? Be careful, there is now a chemical which is put in swimming pools and if you pee a red color will appear.

Photo 1 and 2 were taken while I was driving home. Photo 2 is where I live, the building on the left.
Photo 3 and 4 were taken on my way home from the gym, walking.

Both were taken with my cell phone

I like to get to work early for several reasons, it is quiet and I can accomplish a lot. Today is one of those days that I can not accomplish anything that involves my computer, work computer. I have no connection which means I can not get into ACT which is a program I use, has everything I need. I can get my work email from my mac so I am able to respond to emails. You would think that at least one IT guy would be here before everyone shows up to work to check that everything is working properly, right? Does that make sense or am I crazy?

So here I am blogging at 8:02 a.m., listening to my purchased music from ITunes. I used to use Limewire but the word on the street is to STOP using those free sites. I do abide by some laws, not all. Right now I am listening to Jay-Z and Linkin Park.

I'm conflicted.. I have an ipod mini, green. I want the new ipod Nano. For those of you that read my blog and feel the need to buy me one in BLACK please do so. If you need my address please leave me a comment. My Birthday is coming up, December 28. I also need a new headset. I like the ones that wrap behind your ears. I broke one of the wires the other day stretching. Does anyone use those earbuds? For one, they hurt, really hurt and they do not stay in my ears. Do they stay in your ears? Do they hurt? Do I have deformed ears, is that why they do not stay in? Hmmm.. I just found a pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones for an ipod. I think I would like to have wireless headphones, no wires.... great. I seem to always get tangled with the wires, hanging wires are dangerous, beware.

What do most people do while they are driving to work? I would imagine most people listen to the radio, do a lot of thinking, make a phone call, I have seen some women putting on their makeup while driving, men shaving, and at times a few nose pickers.

My drive to work does not allow me to do much and even if it did I do not think I would do any of the above other than listen to music and think. I never thought I would take pictures while I'm driving but I do.

My sister is looking over my shoulder holding a knife. I think she is hungry. I just ate my dinner. I am like an old lady. Yesterday I used my Crock Pot and cooked chicken for eight hours. I had it for dinner tonight and it was very good. I must say I am a good chef, not cook. That is my sister with me, we love the crock pot.

Elijah and I just got home from The Shops at Bal Harbour. For those of you that are interested to know what "shops" are at The Shops at Bal Harbour then google it, just kidding. It does not really matter what stores are there. What matters is that Elijah came along with me. Whenever Elijah is out with me I always get at least one generous offer for him. We had to return something at Saks and Saks is dog friendly so whenever I go which is not often I take him. I always make sure that Elijah does a good boy prior to leaving. Although Bal Harbour is dog friendly it would not be right if Elijah decided to leave a shit behind. Well sure enough today was the day Elijah was going to SHIT at Bal Harbour. Usually I always bring a bag just in case this happens but today I did not. I almost died when he started to do his shit dance. There were people in every direction and of course all eyes were on US. I immediately looked in my purse for a tissue, something, but no luck. All I had was a hundred dollar bill and I had to pick it up. My choices were as follows:
leave it
pick it up with my bare hands
pick it up with the hundred dollar bill

What would you have done? I will let you know what I did later today. I have to go wash my hands, hint......

Sam's first day of school.....
Saturday night, September 24, 2005

Tonight Wendy and I went to a house warming pool party. It wasn't really a pool party, it was just outside by the pool. We stayed for about an hour and then went to dinner at Siam Bayshore. This is for you Wen, dibbi dibbi doi, only Wendy will get that. Wendy was wearing a cute t-shirt with two buttons on it. Okay, enough about that.

Nothing like going out for dinner to relax and have a good meal. Something always seems to go wrong for my sister and I. We were sat a table beside two thugs talking about killing people and a crying baby not far away. The thugs were somewhat interesting but the crying baby was sad. It was late and the parents had no right taking their baby out.

The pictures will be posted at a later date.

Good morning.... Went to the gym this morning to ride the bike. My sister and I had a date today. We were going north to Ft. Lauderdale to the Galleria Mall. The last time I was at the Galleria was many years ago. I used to go with my grandmother being she lived very close. Wendy was going to return some items and I was just going for the ride, so I thought. I ended up buying a few items that I did not need, oh well. Like my shoesLike my belt buckleMy t-shirts that Wendy bought me in LA

We went for lunch at a restaurant in the Galleria called Seasons 59 or 51, I forgot the number. It was really good. Everything on the menu is under 475 calories. I had Glazed Turkey and skewers with wild rice and a squash which was filled with green beans. Wendy had goat cheese ravioli, we both had harvest vegetable soup. Sorry, no pictures.
Friday night, September 23, 2005

Came home from work and went to the gym to do some light cardio. These days my workouts are not like they used to be. My back does not allow me to "workout." After the gym I showered and went to dinner with my friend Elana. I have not seen her in a long time so we had a lot of catching up to do. Elana has very curly hair and a lot of it. To my surprise Elana arrived with straight hair! I almost dropped dead. She treated herself to a haircut and a straightening iron. Her hair looks great!!
Elana and I went to Espanola Way to the sushi restaurant, Akiaro.

It was even better this time. Dinner was a lot of fun. After dinner we went to Ricky's which has the best selection of hair products as well as candles.

They were having a 50% off sale on Votivo candles so I bought three, one for my sister.

Friday, September 23, 2005

Wow, Friday already. Last night I was in bed and for some strange reason Mickey Mouse appeared deep within my head. It was a signal to call 1-407-W-DISNEY. I called, waited for ten minutes while listening to Disney theme songs, Elijah singing along. Cinderella answered, she was very pleasant. My bedroom all of a sudden smelled like a Disney Resort, you know that smell, right? Okay, I told her Mickey sent me a signal to call to see if there is availability for Saturday night. I also told her I am a Florida resident and a proud holder of the Disney Annual Pass which is about to expire. She then told me that they have rooms at the Animal Kingdom and Florida Resident rates. I asked her to hold the room.

With Disney theme songs in my head I drifted away. I had many dreams and Disney was a part of every one. I went on some really fun rides which do not exist in Disney, although I think they would be a big hit. Now I must decide if I will be going. If I could wish upon a star this would be my wish...... To take...

Thursday, September 22, 2005
I am tired today, did not sleep much. My sister got back from LA yesterday morning at 5:00 a.m. She was supposed to return on Monday morning but due to Hurricane Rita her flight was cancelled.

Let me say a little something about my sister, she is the best, very thoughtful. Wendy, my sister bought me S's. What is an S? Well an S is a gift, a surprise. When we were young our parents would always bring us back an S from their travels. Well Wendy is very good about S's, not just an S, plural, more than one, lots of S's. She got me a really great belt, the buckle is beautiful and a couple cute t-shirts. I will post pictures of the items.
Wendy also got me these t-shirts, pretty funny....

Last night I slept really well. I woke up in the middle of the night to wind and rain. This morning the sky was so beautiful, different shades of pink.

The pictures were taken with my cell phone on my way to work.

You know I have a brother, right? Well half brother and he happens to be Korean/American. I am not saying this because he is my brother but he happens to be a good looking kid. He is much cuter than Angelina's son Maddox.
This is Sammy
This is Maddox, you decide..
